This is the 22nd book in the Aunt Dimity series. I had stopped reading them as they seemed to have lost their charm, but I thoroughly enjoyed #22, Aunt D and the Summer King, so I also checked this book out. It didn't disappoint. I really enjoyed it too. Lori is at home with her toddler daughter Bess while her sons and husband are camping. She attends a town meeting and learns a friend Annabelle Craven asks people to join her in a quilting Bee. At the bee, she tells Lori that she murdered her first husband. Lori cannot believe such a gentle woman could have done so, she she and a good friend travel to the village where Ms. Craven formerly lived to see if she really had done so. She meets a number of fascinating people, hears their stories, and finds out the truth. It is a beautiful story.
