I gave it 3 stars only because of the realism. This portrayed disaster is one few (me) consider. After reading this I don't see how one can prepare on an individual basis. I'd prefer not to live long in this situation. However, I cannot understand those who live in 'prone' areas, like Seattle, not being ready/prepared for a quake. If you live in tornado country you generally have a plan; living in the desert - always carry extra water. Going to mountains during snow - one prepares. The quake areas are unpredictable & imminent, you know it's going to happen sooner or later. If you don't have some sort of plan & just assume others will take care of you....dream on. This possibility has been in the news for years, if you've ignored it, I'd say you are a fool.
