I have read most of the "In Death" series" and have watched them slowly decline. While this one has one of the better plots, sadly it suffers , as did the previous book, from just plain poor writing. Incomplete sentences, unfathomable grammar, and unrelated references. I know that dialogue is not always perfect, but that is spoken not written. This leaves me again feeling that Roberts (Robb) did not write this, and used associate or ghost writers, in the rush to get it to market. Also, there seems to be more gratuitous profanity than ever, especially from Dallas.
