At some point Rick Riordan has to run out of ingenious plots and ideas, and this book seemed to be it. While it had great promise as a sequel to the amazing Heroes of Olympus series (which was the sequel to Percy Jackson and the Olympians series) the book seemed to me to be awfully boring, and pointless. I feel like everyone liked it only because it had gay characters. That's fine and all, but can not excuse the fact that this book does not reach expectations as a Percy Jackson novel. It felt immature, slow paced, and had way to much of Apollo whining. Sorry Uncle Rick.
