Summary

Big Nate is at it again. His school days shenanigans always make for a good read for any boy who typically wouldn't pick up a book. Kids who love sports will be tickled as they follow Nate through trials and tribulations as he discovers basketball, baseball and soccer. When Nate joins the basketball team he soon discovers that his skills and thought process in playing the game are quite different from everyone else's. When Nate approaches his opponent in an attempt to get the ball he soon learns that wedgies do count as a foul. When Nate decides to distract or psych out his opponent he literally attempts to use a form of psychology. “Trying to be like Mike, huh? That's sad, man. Myself, I don't live vicariously through other people! I don't pattern myself after anyone!” Unfortunately for Nate, it didn't work. Next, Nate tackles baseball, and as he explains the teams name, “The Vultures” it doesn't come out sounding so wonderful. His opponent put things in a different perspective. Nate's bright idea goes from, feast on our adversaries to garbage and road kill. But that doesn't stop Nate from his trash talking loosing streak on the field. Comics are always a colorful quick read, great for any road trip, doctors office waiting room, or quick read before bedtime. Young readers will get the humor and chuckle as they follow each cartoon square through the hilariously clueless life of Nate.
