This film had so much more potential to adequately address alcoholism and the results of non or under parenting. The main character is likeable but transforms too suddenly into a wounded person. I liked the Love relationship angle with the wide open hearted girl but this also was not played up enough. It is a shame because the main actor was capable of communicating the story line but apparently the director wasn't up to the task. I do recommend seeing this movie -- it's not a total loser. Oh I agree that this was a good movie to show the consequences of always living in the NOW.
