This Pixar film is about Carl Frederickson who flies his house all the way to the South American wilderness, but here is the catch, he did not know that Russel, a “wilderness explorer” trying to earn his last badge, is stowaway aboard the balloon powered house. Honestly, this movie had me sobbing in the beginning because we learn about his relationship with his late wife, Ellie. My favourite character is Dug. He is a lovable, cute, and funny golden retriever. This is 100% one of my favourite Pixar movies and I would recommend it for ages 5 and up! @grumpykat of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library Up is a very good movie. There are parts that are very emotional, as is the case, ironically, with many Disney movies, but that does add meaning to the story. There is also humour, adventure, and many important messages within the story. The characters are all likeable and funny, and the story line is very creative. The relationship built between the main characters is very important to the film's story and meaning, and inspires the audience to not take advantage of the time we have, or the people we spend it with. I would definitely recommend this movie to other viewers; it is a beautiful story, that delivers important morals in an entertaining and imaginative way. Rating 3.5/5 @PenelopeScriptor of the Hamilton Public Library's Teen Review Board A sweet and genuinely entertaining movie. The whole movie was really interesting because we experience the main characters journey to fulfill his wife’s dream of having a house on top of Paradise Falls. We meet a taking dog along with a Boy Scout who just make my heart melt. Both these characters are definitely a humorous combo! This really made the movie more interesting for us as the viewers. This is an amazing movie that is recommended for people of all ages. It is definitely an excellent choice for a movie night. Grab your popcorn and drinks! 5/5 stars! @SpookyCat of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
