Tradition is difficult to break in any culture, and especially in the Maori Tribe in New Zealand. Only males can be the next chief, however, after the next chief dies at birth, it is up to his surviving twin sister to fulfil his destiny. This movie chronicles what it is like to break the mold and challenge yourself, while also trying to win over the approval of your family. The combination of Indigenous New Zealand culture and challenging norms makes this an interesting film that is worth the watch. I would rate it 4.5/5 stars and recommend it to people who are interested in learning more about other cultures and ways of life. - @The_Reviewer of the Teen Review Board of the Hamilton Public Library
