Though The New Rebellion has some slow parts in the middle, particularly with scenes with Han and Lando, it's pretty interesting throughout, especially toward the end. Basically, a bomb goes off in the Senate chamber and the main characters try to figure out who let it off while also trying to figure out who the mysterious man in the skull mask is and what his connection might be to the bombing. Something that I really liked about this book was all the different interactions between characters that don't interact normally in Star Wars books. Some examples were the teaming of Wedge and Leia, and Mara and Han. It was cool to read about them working together because usually the characters don't interact too much directly, and I thought parts where they were working together was just fun to read. Something else that I really liked was the part where Leia goes to Alamania to rescue Luke and them having to work together by themselves to escape the villain. Having Luke and Leia work together by themselves is something that I rarely find in the E.U, so I thought that was great! Another cool thing was the appearances of other characters from other Star Wars Legends novels. Some were Sinewy Ana Blue from the Han Solo trilogy and Brakiss from the Young Jedi Knights series.
