This seems to follow on the heels of a book published in 1997 by the same people, called "Carbohydrate-Addicted Kids." The advice is basically the same, though... a fairly well-balanced approach limiting simple carbohydrates or having them occasionally but with a serving of protein foods along-side. Follow up with one of Heller's recipe books. If you proceed in moderation your health should benefit. Worth reading.
