Bestselling and award-winning author Lisa Scottoline reaches new heights with this riveting novel about how a single decision can undo a family, how our past can derail our present, and how not guilty doesn't always mean innocent.

Allie Garvey is heading home to the funeral of a childhood friend. Allie is not only grief-stricken, she's full of dread. Because going home means seeing the other two people with whom she shares an unbearable secret.

Twenty years earlier, a horrific incident shattered the lives of five teenagers, including Allie. Drinking and partying in the woods, they played a dangerous prank that went tragically wrong, turning deadly. The teenagers kept what happened a secret, believing that getting caught would be the worst thing that could happen. But time has taught Allie otherwise. Not getting caught was far worse.

Allie has been haunted for two decades by what she and the others did, and by the fact that she never told a soul. The dark secret has eaten away at her, distancing her from everyone she loves, including her husband. Because she wasn't punished by the law, Allie has punished herself, and it's a life sentence.

Now, Allie stands on the precipice of losing everything. She's ready for a reckoning, determined to learn how the prank went so horribly wrong. She digs to unearth the truth, but reaches a shocking conclusion that she never saw coming--and neither will the reader.

A deeply emotional examination of family, marriage, and the true nature of justice, Someone Knows is Lisa Scottoline's most powerful novel to date. Startling, page-turning, and with an ending that's impossible to forget, this is a tour de force by a beloved author at the top of her game.

I was not too happy with this book...it dragged on but the ending was not great...Lisa has done much better before.

I read all of Lisa Scottoline's books as soon as I can but this surpassed her usual style. I was hooked all the way through!

This book is typical Lisa Scottoline, a page turner with some incredible drama at the end. The book starts with a teenage prank going totally wrong and then relates how the teenagers handle this situation over the years. At the end of twenty years there is a twist in the tale. I felt the ending was too dramatic and uncalled for. I liked the characters of Allie and Larry and hoped everything turned out well for them. Read the book and if you're rooting for Larry and Allie you'll want to read it till the end.

First of all, I love the colours on this cover! Second, while I mostly enjoyed the novel, there was just too much happening to real get into it. While there were two narrators to do the male and female voice, there were just too many characters! It was nice to get all the different point of views, yet it seemed a bit unnecessary. I did like the story idea, especially around the teens and how they react to things around them. The ending wasn't bad, but the little twist right at the end, made it seem implausible and made it seem a bit overly dramatic. This is a good beach read.

This book read much like a young adult novel. It had many characters to follow, I thought it was just ok.

What happens when a game goes terribly wrong, and the teenagers playing it are frightened what will happen to them? What follows are 20 years of lies, regret, and eventually, a suicide. While this book was a little more dark than Lisa Scottoline's others, the plot twists were amazing. I had absolutely no idea until the end what was going to happen. I highly recommend it!

A real page turner. You really can't figure out who knows until the end. Love having to wait for the conclusion.

This domestic thriller has an ambitious story line that spans twenty years. The linchpin for the narrative is a game of Russian roulette that went horribly wrong. Our story begins and ends with Allie Graves who turns out to be a key player in the drama. There were times when the twists and turns in the plot were riveting. At others the large cast of characters seems to be unwieldy. Faithful fans of Lisa Scottoline will find this a decent addition to her list of novels and one of her better domestic dramas. I found it to be a somewhat depressing read and would not commend this title to those unfamiliar with Scottoline's earlier works.
