Prince Joe: Media consultant Veronica St. John has been hired to teach a rugged Navy SEAL to impersonate a European prince who has been targeted by terrorists. But one conversation and Veronica knows there's no way she can turn streetwise New Yorker Joe Catalanotto into nobility. Joe, on the other hand, is confident he's got what it takes to complete his mission. Two days isn't a lot of time to get the job done...but it's just enough time to fall in love.
Forever Blue: Lucy Tait has fantasized about Blue McCoy since high school. With the Navy SEAL back in town, nothing's changed...except that Lucy's a police officer and Blue's been charged with murder. As the investigation heats up, so does their relationship. Now they're working to save Blue's future--before they lose their hearts.

Prince Joe (5 stars)
I absolutely love this story. Shoot, I love the whole TDD series and Brockmann is one of my favorite authors. I first discovered her through this story when it appeared in the Blogger's Favorites ebook put out by Harlequin. I admit to being afraid that it wouldn't hold up after having read so many of her later books, but it's still great. It's a relief to have a female character who isn't flipping out about a guy hashing out his entire life history. They are both happy to observe how the other lives in the present and fall in love with that. They verge on being too perfect as individuals, but ultimately they feel and act real.

Forever Blue (5 stars)
Lucy is a fine example of Brockmann's strong females to complement her alpha males. I love that the hero and heroine are both strong and flawed, and they each contribute to the ultimate resolution equally. The struggles in their relationship, aside from the murder mystery, are examined and handled realistically. Lucy's leftover hero-worship of Blue does need to be considered before they can move on into a true relationship. There's plenty of suspense and creative solutions throughout.
