This is not rated based on comparing it to some of the best films of all time, this is rated based on it being a popcorn action movie - and it is SPECTACULAR for a popcorn action movie. Great humor, great action, incredibly inventive inclusion of video game aspects into the film, great satire on the stereotypes within video games. Just all around incredibly well done, well acted, well written, well paced film. Great entertainment.

I can't believe this movie is only rated 4 STARS ON HERE! I MEAN, WHAT THE HECK?!?!? This movie is THE best! Has some language in it that you might want to pre-check for little kids and stuff. Other than that it is as I said THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My favorite part is when Bethany, a self-absorbed teen that turns into an 'overweight middle-aged man' in the movie goes like "Wait a second...! WHERE'S MY PHONE?" Check out the gag reel too. So. Incredibly. Hilarious.

This story line was poorly which contributed to the poor acting. There were minor changes to the plot but nothing significant. The actors were stiff and seemed uncomfortable in their roles. Not close to being as good as the first Jumanji but it starred Robin Williams.

I liked this DVD. Four high school kids discover an old video game console and are drawn into the game's jungle setting, literally becoming the adult avatars they chose.

I think this movie deserves a 5/5 rating because this movie has a good storyline, which is full of a lot of comedy and good actors. This movie is about 4 high school students, who one day found this old video game called jumanji. They picked their characters to play the game and once they pressed play, all of them got sucked into this magical game. Now, they are stuck in the bodies of the characters, they choose. They have to survive and follow the rules of the game to get back into the real world. This movie features one of the most famous actors which includes Dwayne Johnson, Nick Jonas, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan and much more. This movie is one of my all time favourites, and if you want to watch something that has comedy, action, and adventure then this movie is the right movie for you. @bluesky of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library

I certainly am glad that the airline I flew last summer had this movie as an option! Four students land themselves in more trouble than they expect when they jump into an old-fashion video game, and embody their characters. Unlikely friendships form as they conquer various challenges and persist to the end to defeat the evil forces in the background. Overall, the acting in this movie was thoroughly enjoying, and the humour helped to keep the story moving smoothly. @Siri of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board

I liked this movie a lot, I am not a big fan of a rehashed concepts of classic films but this one really surprised me. For what I liked about this film let us start off with the best part, which is the cast. This film is filled with some fantastic performances by its four leads. But the stand out for me is Jack Black, this is one of my favorite films of his by far as he is somehow able to perfectly embody his character, the visual at times do really feel like a video game, the script is well written as its able to blend comedy and action pretty well and a lot of the comedy actually hits and the film has a great bare-bones story that deals with a lot of coming-of-age themes for each of its individual characters which was a nice layer to add, however while the story was layered it was also quite predictable and that can be off-putting for some viewers, however in a family adventure film I think it works and the villain is terribly underused and underwhelming in this film. Overall, Jumanji is an entertaining adventure comedy that modernizes a classic film without leaning heavily on the nostalgia, well the story is predictable the blend of comedy, actions and memorable performances help keep this game fresh. 4/5 Stars. @moviefanatic of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board

It was okay. There were parts in the movie that I enjoyed, and others not so much. I also feel that there were some scenes that could have been shortened or omitted altogether. It's worth viewing though.

The four leads were all hilarious. LOL moments included Jack Black's self-professed amazement at his newfound male anatomy, Dwayne Johnson trying not to cry during a crisis, and Kevin Hart screaming "where's the rest of me??" in reference to his lack of height. This movie was a fun romp!

Funny family entertainment. Clever reboot of the Jumanji movie.

It was so funny. I was a expecting a bad movie, but I was surprisingly wrong. Has some bad stuff in it, like language and the lack of clothes on the girl. Worth a watch.

Many quotes in IMDb already including my favorites when too-pretty Bethany needed help to pee first time as Professor Shelly Oberon. Below are the few more serious quotes on choosing one’s life that are not in IMDb:

We don't have a lot of time in this life, and I personally don't wanna waste it on being, like, a gym teacher.
===
You're all here for a reason. You know what it is. But this is what you should be thinking about: Who you are... in this moment in time, and who you want to be. You get one life. You decide how you're gonna spend it.
===
It's a lot easier to be brave when you have lives to spare. It's a lot harder... when you only have one life.
-We-we always only have one life, man. Okay? That's... That's all we get. That's how it works.
The question is, is how are you gonna live it? Which guy are you gonna decide to be?… Did I just quote our principal?
