All thirteen-year-old Raspberry can think of is making money so that she and her mother never have to worry about living on the streets again.
The book that I had just finished is called "Money Hungry" by Sharon G. Flake a realistic fiction book. In this book the main idea or importance is that in the book the protagonist, a thirteen year old teenager, Raspberry Hills is trying to make as much money as she can because she is trying to support her family. Another reason was that her family didn't had a lot of money to support them selves. Another way that Raspberry had made money was by selling things in school like, rotten candy (Raspberry actually got in trouble for that), selling pencils, and etc. Her friends also made of fun of her, sometimes because she was poor. In fact Raspberry and her mom had to sleep on the streets once! Just because they didn't had enough money to pay the rent. So one particular day when she had school instead of going to school she skipped school just to make money. She went to a car wash place to wash cars all day until night. Raspberry will also do anything to make money. She washes cars, carry other peoples grocery up the stairs, and etc.
