One year after outwitting the FBI and winning the public's adulation with their Robin Hood-style magic spectacles, The Four Horsemen resurface for a comeback performance in hopes of exposing the unethical practices of a tech magnate. The man behind their vanishing act is none other than Walter Mabry, a tech prodigy who threatens the Horsemen into pulling off their most impossible heist yet.
"Just as cheerfully outlandish as the caper flick's precursor, with the acceptance of fancy tricks and misdirection twists dependent on an audience's love of a good hoodwink."--Globe and Mail.
"Why make a sequel? Well, why not: This one is more fun."--Boston Globe.
"A madly spinning top of a movie, powered by an eagerness to please that somehow comes off as more innocent than calculated."--Variety.

SPOILERS ALERT: The part when they steal the card..........It was so intense when try tried to get the card pat the metal detector, but when they got past the guards searching them....it was like.....PRO SKILLSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!! That would be my favourite part of the movie besides Jack and Lula kissing near the end of the movie....and when they were holding hands! Awww.......they are so cute together!

Not *as* good as the first movie, but it was still quite exciting. I felt like they moved more away from the magic aspect, which is what I loved about the first movie, and focused more on the crime/fighting aspect in this movie. I was also sad to see Isla Fisher did not return, though her "replacement" was a good addition to the team. Lizzy Caplan added a good bit of humor and I actually grew to love her character. This really is the role for Jesse Eisenberg - the swagger he has as J. Daniel Atlas is amazing and is the what I love to see from him. Woody Harrelson playing his own twin was interesting, but I felt the character was a little too ridiculous and I found myself annoyed by him more often than not. I hope if they continue doing these movies and get Dave Franco back that they give him a bit more, the poor guy is such a bit part and really can do so much more than they allow him..

Enjoyable and entertaining. You must watch the prequel to fully understand the story behind this film.

May be I should have watched its prequel first to make sense of part of the story. Other than the outrageously laborious plot, the film featured a large group of hip stars getting their fair share of face times and doing illusions made possible, not with real talent, but with CGI and camera tricks. Nonetheless, the Macau and London location shots were fascinating.

Now You See Me 2 probably won't change your life, unless it happens to inspire you to become a magician, but it is entertaining and done well. It's been at least a few years since I watched the first one, but I think I would give it the same 3 1/2 stars/good rating. Now You See Me 2 is rated PG-13 for violence and some language.

The Horsemen return for another heist-adventure full of tricks and twists, and more character-building than the original. It has been a while since I have seen the original, but I enjoyed this one just as much, and I liked how it filled out Dillon's character, especially. I would like to watch this one again, because the very end of the movie flew by me a little too quickly, and I want to understand it better, but I am excited by the way things seemed to be left open for a sequel.

Thaddeus Bradley: [narrating] Seeing is believing, but is it truth? Depends on your point-of-view. Are you listening, horsemen? When you emerge, and you will, I will be there... waiting. Because mark my words, you will get what's coming to you... in ways you can't expect... but very much deserve. Because once thing I believe in is an eye for an eye.

The past:

The Eye. It may not lie... But don't think for a moment that it can't be lied to. Seeing is believing. But is it truth? People see the Horsemen as noble Robin Hoods. Are they? Or are they common thieves? Depends on your point of view. Here's what you know. They robbed a bank in Paris from a stage in Las Vegas. They fleeced
an insurance magnate of hundreds of millions of dollars and disappeared from a roof in New York.
===
The new threat:

Octa's hosting the launch of the next-gen cell phone. Once these phones hit the streets, they'll siphon their users' information to the black market. Meaning Octa's selling privacy to up their profit.
===
The EYE:

We are part of the Eye. You've each doubted our existence. Wondering if we, indeed, were watching. We are. We always have been. This is the best magic shop in the world.
