Who knew such a time and place existed? I watched as my grandmother would've watched a documentary about hippies in haight-ashbury or native Alaskans in 1905, saying, "Do people really dress like this? what language are they speaking?"
Very entertaining in an anthropological way. Special features added context.

Pretty thin story. Somewhat engaging characters. Coarse. Didn't finish.

I'm not sure why so many people list this one as a classic. It was ok. The characters were very real and the issues were very realistic...but it was still just ok.

Swingers is one of the very few films that I enjoy watching time and time again. Both Jon Favreau's script and performance are impeccable. The character of "Michael Peters", struggling to overcome the loss of his college sweetheart, perfectly complements Vince Vaughn's "Trent Walker", the 'fun-loving, out-going party guy', who pulls girls wherever he goes. Easily one of the funniest comedies ever written, Swingers is the epitome of an undiscovered secret, for it certainly deserves much more credit than it receives. I would highly recommend this to fans of Independent low budget comedies, as well as fans of Vaughn and Favreau.

Trent: So, what'd you think of that Dorothy girl?
Mike: The whole Judy Garland thing kinda turned me on. Does that make me some kind of fag?
Trent: No, baby, you're money.
