This is a love record. Not a physical love but a beautiful relationship evolving throughout the songs. Ella sings it straight with a few giggles in between. Louis lets it rip. The record evolves until the last song Stompin' at the Savoy where they let it rip. They were not restrained by being in a recording studio. I could listen to both of these performers by themselves, but together-they create magic.
