Cognoscenti would rave about cinematography, while I think this movie is just plain beautiful. The care taken in presenting the people, the culture, and the scenery (although of Idaho, British Columbia, and Morocco, not Tibet), is wonderful. The story itself is presented with great sensitivity. Scorsese worked with the Dalai Lama, which must have been a spiritual experience for him, based on the way the biographical details are treated. I was drawn to the movie by reading a bit about Philip Glass, whose music for the film is fascinating.
the video is so amazing and is truly based on true story,by watching this movie,we know that TIBET is not a part of CHINA..China is a lie
A stunning visual and auditory feast with music by Philip Glass. A gift for the senses and the spirit. Memorable.
An amazing and truly inspiring story, based on the true story of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Shows some of the dazzling, mystical and beautiful culture of the Tibetan people. Heart-wrenching journey. China invades and takes over Tibet. I highly recommend this!!!
