Old style movie where family values are weighed against getting rich asap. Some really phony characters, obviously cariacatures or stereotypes, but overall, not bad. Lee J. Cobb as Wm Holden's Italian father was like watching Walt Disney's Geppetto come to life .

Loved this movie! I did not even recognize Bill Holden through most of the movie. Really neat watch, our whole family enjoyed it.

One of the best. I remember back in the day that Mad magazine did references to this, violin or gloves? Great character actors also. Peace, John
