An action packed story of two boys stranded in the Alaskan wilderness. Fans of Gary Paulsen should read this.

This was a good book that I thoroughly enjoyed. While many readers have recommended it for its suspense, which it certainly has, what I liked most about it was the two boy's characters and interactions. So even if a survival story does not spark your interest, I would still recommend it for its characterization. By the end of the book you will surely have a good understanding of the two main characters.

A book that made me keep turning the pages, chapter after chapter after chapter. The book's pages were interesting and action-packed. I never knew what was going to happen next in the story. From dreams and realality, visions and hallucinations, this book stunned me, so well put together! Two boys struggling against an island full of suprises, both good and bad. One of the best one-off books ever!

After a shipwreck, two boys alone struggle to survive and try to find a way to get home. Chris, one of the boys, makes friends with a raven, against Frank's wishes. Although Frank makes Chris's life a living hell, he is the only other person around. The story makes readers hang on to see what is going to happen to all the characters, and how or if they are going to get home.

This is an edge-of-your-seat survival tale! Two teen boys struggle against weather, starvation and a stalking grizzly bear.

Extremely fast-paced, suspenseful, psychological thriller about survival in a rugged wilderness filled with skeletons, bears, and a surprisingly intelligent raven. The ending is perfect, leaving the reader hanging in just the perfect place without trying to tie everything up in neat bows. Great for reluctant readers. I wolfed this one down in just a few (nearly breathless) hours.
