This is a kids' book that sort of doesn't work. It has pretty pictures of Paris in a kid style, yet is trying to teach shapes. It's a nice idea that just does not seem to think about kids enough. Specifically it does not convey why your little kid should be at all interested in Paris, which is sort of an abstract/advanced topic. Not that most people would care that much, however writing a kids book that is just about Paris (e.g. like a cat wandering through Paris), yet featured shapes as something an adult could point out would work better.
