This was my first, but not my last, Katherine Hall Page mystery. This was an entertaining quick read. Living on an island off the coast of Maine myself, the summer experience and family dynamics are very close to home- although thankfully no murders yet.

Book 22 in the Faith Fairchild series

samdog123 Jul 16, 2015

Katherine Hall Page has been a favourite of mine for many years. I love her main character, Faith Fairchild, a caterer who married a New England 'man of the cloth.' In this latest installment, the Fairchilds are at their summer cottage on Sanpere island. The plot thickens when a local family must compete for who will inherit the century old cottage. And when the body of the housekeeper is found, tensions start to mount. I wouldn't say this is Page's best in the series--too many characters to form a real connection, but I enjoyed it as always.
