Excellent voice work is the only thing that kept me listening if I'm honest. I'm not a fan of books where everyone is unlikable, and that's exactly what this book features. Everyone was so self absorbed I just couldn't care about them. The conflict could have resolved better, but it went with a very "suburban" twist that didn't really hit home for me. Overall, it left me feeling like a few changes could have taken this from a 3 to a 4+.

Suspenseful, lots of twists and turns. I liked it.

Fantastic mystery, who done it book! It starts off a little slow but totally worth it. Rachel, Anna and Megan all got on my nerves, but Rachel was the worst for me. But.. everyone has their faults and the book will explain their stories and why they are acting the way they are.

The narrators were AMAZING! Bravo to Clare Corbett, Louise Brealey and India Fisher.

"You'll love it!", they said. "The story is amazing!", they said. I wouldn't go so far as to say you'll love it, but if you enjoy suspense/thriller/murder mystery books, you'll likely want to give it a read. I made it 2/3 of the way through the book & still hadn't developed a love (or even like) for ANY of the characters. They all have messed up lives & don't seem to want to do anything to change it. I agree with my friend Janna that said you find yourself feeling somewhat sorry for each of the charters by the end of the book. I found this mostly correct. There is one person that I didn't feel even the slightest bit sorry for, but I'll let you read & find out which character for yourself.

Age recommendation: 16 & up (adult content)

On a scale of 1-10 stars, I give it 8.

Listened to the first disc today. I will be returning this audiobook as soon as possible. Not my cup of tea. Tedious and boring.

Agree that the three different voices for the 3 narrators makes this most listenable. Their English accents helps anchor the story in its actual location of the story. I recommend the audio version to reading the book.

Superb narration by the three readers made the story very absorbing from the outset.

Alright, time to reflect.
I thoroughly the use of the cast of voice actors. By doing this the book became more alive easier to follow. However, it was rather frustrating when Rachel opened up another can of gin and tonic. But she was a believable character and you will not love every main character you read about and if you don't that doesn't make it a bad story. What does make it a bad story is if it seems like the author is going around in circles and not really getting to the point. A lot of not need fluff was added but the plot was still pretty solid. Overall, not a bad audiobook to listen to in order to pass some time.

Loved this audio book. The 3 actresses playing the women were incredible - they made it so easy to get involved with each character- flaws and all! I hope the movie lives up to the book - Emily Blunt is perfectly cast as Rachel.

book started on a very high note and draws your curiosity as the story progresses further. when all of your curiosity and suspicion is drawn towards one particular character, paula suddenly brings up the convict with no clues until that point. i am not happy with the way paula chose to end the novel
