Summary
Add a SummaryLindsey, the library director, has her hands full in this delightful story about small costal town living during the winter as a nor'easter bears down and brings everything to a grinding halt. Lindsey's friend and president of the Friends of the Library, Carrie, is the prime suspect after her whiny, high-maintenance husband is found shot to death in their home. Lindsey gathers information supporting previous altercations various residents had with Carrie's husband and thereby opening the possibility of other suspects in the murder. All the while, Ms. Cole is in her prime, lemon-wise, a valuable collection of library books are discovered to be stolen, and a crazy local is making threats against Lindsey. Lindsey adopts an abandoned puppy that everyone falls in love with and he proves his worth by saving her life. When faced with stiff competition in the romance department, Sully finally steps up to the plate.

Add a CommentI thoroughly enjoyed this installment in the series. I especially liked her finding and then keeping the dog. I am looking forward to more in this series and hope that her romance takes off. I really enjoy this author.
a library lover's mystery #2
a good continuation of the series. A fun cozy mystery- set mostly in the library, lots of literary references, a winter storm, some romance interest, and of course helping friends.
I found this series to be a delightful, quick read full of charming characters. This is a perfect cozy mystery to 'cozy' up with, especially since much of the story took place during a snow storm. The close knit circle of friends centered around a library is ideal and circumstances finally push Lindsey and Sully closer together -- perfect!
Small town, plucky heroine (not *too* plucky), loving circle of friends, cozy mystery.
Good series can't wait for the next one!
Would definitely read more in this series.
