really enjoyed this beautiful scenery find this series so funny love it

Witty. Droll. Thoroughly engaging. Oh, and a gorgeous location on the Cornish coast.

The show has a dry wit that I find to be thoroughly entertaining. The annoying receptionist from Season 1 is gone in Season 2; a change for the better!

Doc Martin is funny - in a Corner Gas sort of way. But with much more spectacular scenery and British accents. Some of the characters can get on your nerves a bit but overall it's an enjoyable, light-hearted comedy with enough good acting and charm to make it worthwhile. I give it three and a half stars.

Port Isaac, Cornwall: definitely on my wish list one day to visit. It seems it's a nice place to go on holidays. This series is responsible. Highly recommend it.

Doc Martin --- Series 2, Volume 2. The sun always shines, it never storms, the sea is always calm and the grass is always green. What an idyllic place that Portwenn (somewhere on the Cornwall coast) This is the biggest and best travel poster for Cornwall the region could have ever asked for. The cast is unforgettable: if you’ve never indulged in Doc Martin, come on it, the story’s fine, the characters endearing even though, perhaps, improbable. The Doc, a haemophobic surgeon from London transplanted to this a sleepy little fishing village anchors the show. Ramrod straight, gruff, abrasive, cock-sure of himself, but lovable like an over-sized teddy bear. Louisa the school marm who doesn’t know she’s in love with the doc. The pharmacist in the permanent neck brace who secretly moons, unrequitedly, for the doc. There’s an assortment of other characters: the town’s plumber and son; the local constable; and Pauline, a reformed flower-child as the doctor’s receptionist. For some, this show will be something they can live without. For me? No. I am addicted. And I’m working my way through the episodes as fast as I can. It’s a pity that in the UK, a session is usually just 8 or 9 episodes in length. Also a pity, that the show is no longer in production.

I cannot wait to see more. Started watching it on PBS and was hooked! His character is WAY different from the first two Doc Martin movies. He was outgoing, married and even funny. I still wonder why they changed him but still really enjoy the series.
