I have finished a book called, "Secrets in the Shadows" by Anne Schraff a realistic-fiction book. In this book the protagonist is Roylin Bailey. The central idea or main idea is that Roylin goes to a high school name, Bluford. There is a new student in the school and he name is, Korie Archer. Korie and Roylin met in class and they had fallen in love with each other. Then Korie's birthday was coming up and she wanted this necklace. So Roylin told her to show where the necklace is and he will get it for her, so immediately she showed where the necklace is. The necklace was in the mall, when Roylin saw the price it hit him in the chest, it was about $300. Roylin was also low on money he had to pay for his car and he only had $50 left. He thought then he went to his school and asked his friends to barrow money. When his friends heard the price they immediately said no. Roylin kept thinking, and then a light bulb went on in his head. He had a best friend, Mr. Miller. Mr. Miller was now an old guy, he had a lot of money and he barely uses any of it. So Roylin thought he could go ask him for some money. So after school he went to Mr. Miller apartment which is right in his building. When Roylin knocked on the door no one answered, Roylin heard the TV blurring so he opened the door and saw Mr. Miller sleeping with the TV on. Roylin also saw Mr. Miller's wallet resting on a table, so he decided to sneak in and take the money instead of asking. The next day a guy name Tuttle who is the boss of the apartment and he is also a janitor. His apartment is located in the basement. Tuttle said to Roylin that yesterday afternoon he saw Roylin sneak into Mr. Miller's room and stole money and he is going to put Roylin under arrest for that. Roylin begged him not too. So he said ok im am going to bury him in the basement but you have to do my chores until Tuttle burry him. Did Mr. Miller really die?
