My children and I were completely engaged listening to this tremendous tale. Dit and Emma were amazing heroes that proved to be as prolific as any heroes in American literature. Levine creates an atmosphere that rings authentic to the era. From the antagonist, Bigfoot, to the minor characters, setting, theme, and plot, each story element is cleverly constructed and leads the reader to nail biting and laugh out moments.
