It isn't too often where readers may stumble upon literature with exposure to different ethnic groups or history in it. I really enjoy the Magic Tree House books because they create (mostly) accurate pictures for children of different ages. Older ones will naturally pick up things at a slightly faster rate, such as the fact that there isn't too much diversity in books nowadays. Regardless, Mary Pope Osbourne sets a good tone on Ancient China and the bamboo scroll the kids need to retrieve. The explanation was good overall.
