This movie was scary they
some how managed to make
a shy and innocent child into a
violent and disturbed little girl.
then a bomb shell was dropped
she wasn't a 9-year old girl. She
was a grown adult who looked
like a child do sone rare disorder.I loved the ending to
the movie. This movie was worth seeing

Slightly predictable, and yet equally as creepy and disturbing. I liked it a lot more than i thought, but wish i liked it more! Writing and acting are both pretty decent.

Here is a dark and suspenseful gem that I would recommend. It is the baby sister to THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO, complete with a little Gothic lady whom you will remember for a long - long time.

Though the story's entertaining, it's predictable and when they should've wrapped it up in 90 minutes, I believe it clocked at 120? The movie overstays it's welcome way past the believability point, it's a tortorous veiwing. Nonetheless, one of the better Hollywood suspense/horror offerings, which is't saying much.

Meet Esther - So sweet - So intelligent - So creative - And once you "really" get to know Esther you'll just love hating her guts right to the very end.

Yeah. I know that this was just a movie, but, hey, all the same, I don't care what sort of rare form of dwarfism that Esther was cursed with, we're talking about a 33 year-old woman here - And there's no way on Earth that the face of a woman that age could've possibly retained its youthfulness of a 9 year-old for close to 25 years.... No way, Jose!

And that, my friends, is why, in my books, this Horror/Thriller lost itself so many points.

There's no plausible way that Esther could've ever kept up her devious, little deception for such an extended period of time, especially when you mix into this poisonous recipe of horror the messy ingredient of her committing multiple murders and actually getting away with it for so long.

From the standpoint of rational thinking, that's just too much for this viewer to accept..... And, besides all of that, Orphan was one of those films that could've certainly used some serious editing.

At its 2 hour running time, I had grown so bored of the whole thing that by the time Esther's true identity was finally revealed, I honestly couldn't have given a sweet damn about it, at all. In fact, this revelation was held off for so long that, in the long run, it rendered itself almost anti-climatic.

I LOVED this movie !! It was soo good. I couldn't get my eyes off the screen. I think I like her more than the movie. So beautiful,so smart, so disturbed, so CREEPY. The girl that played the orphan is an amazing actress. I wanted a Orphan 2 also but frankily she died. I saw the alternate ending tough and it was CREEPY. A fantastic thriller , def. a must see. Five stars.

Don't let the curtsy fool you! Esther is a disaster! A manipulative, malevolent, psychotic wingnut with several totally unexpected secrets. Not your typical evil child flick.

I found that the movie was satisfactory and then some. It had me guessing 'till the very end. I approve.
