Connor Mead is the kind of guy who dumps three girlfriends - at one time and by teleconference. So when he goes home to attend his brother's wedding, he has a singular goal in mind: score with the only bridesmaid he has somehow managed to miss. But the ghost of his departed Uncle Wayne - who taught him to love 'em and then leave 'em - has another goal in mind: restore Connor's lost faith in true love. This will be a tough assignment, one that will require many past girlfriends and the ghosts of his past, present and future.

ghosts of girlfriends past This movie stars Matthew McConaughey, Jennifer garner, Emma stone, Michael Douglas, lacy chabert, and breckin meyer. Overall great movie but by the amount of well known stars tells me one thing not one could carry it for a long time that a movie is. But great acting, proper character selection like I would picture Matthew McConaughey to be a womanizing jerk who doesn’t really care about the feelings of women. Also like Emma stone to be that one obsessive first girlfriend that you first got anything out of anyways so this jerk is going to his younger brothers wedding who is being married to a bride zilla in my opinion who has to have everything right at her wedding even the smallest thing like figs in the salads but don’t get me wrong this girl is absolutely stunning. In the whole thing he is destroying his brothers wedding by making his bride to be absolutely furious about everything that doesn’t really have to be freaked out over anyways great acting great character selection and to be honest if you were in awkward feeling of wanting to watch a movie but didn’t know which one to watch and I know that happens to you people out there because it happens to me all the time on Thursday nights so nines times out of ten I would choose this one. choose this one my overall star rating on this movie is a four stars

Okay. Matthew McConahey is extremely believable in the roll of a heartless womanizer. Jennifer Garner is equally sweet as the gal he hurt many years ago that still suffers the effects today. You know at the onset they'll get together but it the journey that is the entertainment. Playing off the Scrooge story, though not new, is different in this context. Instead of miserly Marley we have the lothario uncle played by Michael Douglas who absolutely SHINES as the debauched mentor of Matthew's character. Lacey Chabert, as the uber bridezilla is terrific. Worth a watch and chuckle. First date movie? Maybe.

Meh, this was only an okay film. I think that the main star was a pretty bad actor and the humour wasn't the greatest. This might be my least favourite romantic comedy. However, if you've had a long day and you want just a mildly entertaining romantic comedy, then see Ghosts Of Girlfriends Past.

This was actually quite good, not just a bit of fluff. It was funny and sweet and sad and quite a good story line. I think Matthew's charisma and good looks and humour came thru and made it a good watch.

Silliest movie I've seen in a while! Don't waste your time watching this.

A perfect example of the romantic comedy pushed to far and struggling for originality, plus the overuse of the ghost theme. Nothing about this movie was surprising or engaging, I could have guessed the entire outcome from the beginning. Watch it if you're really bored and looking for a mediocre girly movie.

Good - Ghosts of Girlfriends Past (2009) 100 min. Surprisingly, I enjoyed the re-working of a Christmas Carol where Matthew McConaughey plays the “Scrooge” type. Where Scrooge focused on wealth to define him, the Matthew character relies on his sexual prowess - same evils when both become idol worship at the expense of others. The film has some genuine funny and touching moments. Michael Douglas steals many a scene in this one. Give this one a spin.
