This is an interesting look at the science behind how your body deals with and processes the Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids. The book describes years of research where the interactions of lipids derived from Omega 6 causes inflammation ( leading to chronic diseases) whereas the Omega 3's do not. This book is definitely worth reading. Due to the complexity of the Human body, this is not likely the total picture for health but makes some sense.

This book was quite difficult reading but the message got through!! We need to eat more Omega 3's!! That sums it up in one sentence. In spite of its complexity, I found it a compelling book and a good readl\.

I plan to continue taking my Nordic fish oil and throwing some flaxseed into my oatmeal.

I highly recommend this book. It includes technical info - but not so much so non-techies get lost. It also sheds light onto the history of why things/medical recommendations are the way they are. Gain insight into the fat you choose - coconut (all sat), butter or lard (mostly sat), margarine (omega-6s and other fats) to olive oil (mono and poly-sat fats) to others. As one with a backrground in nutrition, I FOUND THIS A VERY USEFUL READ.
