Regime change has been an integral part of American foreign policy for more than a hundred years, beginning with Hawaii in 1893 to present day Iraq. While the United States usually succeeds when it sets out to depose a foreign leader, the cold light of history shows that many of these operations have actually undermined American security.

The reader is not pleasant to hear! The book was great, too bad few know about it or even care. The title is perfect. How the US policies are accepted based on the people in charge beginning in early 1900's, is explained to my mind. How careless we are to let them continue - how can these practices be stopped is beyond my imagination.
