I liked the missing piece meets the big O very much. It was a little like the missing piece but instead of "it" having an adventure the missing piece was having one. I thought it was about changes. See ya!

This sweet and simple children's story is classic Silverstein. It's a great lesson in living a fulfilling life without the need for someone else to complete you or help you become yourself. In an age of romance, where we often see themes that reinforce the concept of being incomplete without your soulmate, it's refreshing to see such a simple and empowering truth in a children's story.

I was surprised how much my three-year-old liked this one, despite the simplicity of the line drawing illustrations. She enjoyed the story, requesting it quite a few times, but it wasn't her favorite in this round of borrowed items. I don't think she got the "lesson" of the story because that's a little beyond her comprehension at this age. I enjoyed it, though, and thought it was a good reminder for me.
