The other chickens hate snowy mornings. But not Minerva Louise! To her a snowy day--like everything else--is an adventure. But this chilly, chipper hen needs something to keep her warm. What she finds--and how she finds it--will keep young readers cackling.

This is an excellent story. Kids love this story and it's great for ages 3 to 6 and beyond. Minerva Louise is such a cute character and watching her try and find something warm to wear in the snow had me smiling. I LOVE THIS BOOK !!

This book has stood me in good stead for many years and I can''t believe I haven''t reviewed it before! Every kid I have read this to, just loves it, doesn''t matter what age. Even adults love this slightly dim chicken with the matching simple features who has a tough time on winter mornings. Who doesn''t? But she braves the elements and goes in search of a way to keep warm. Her choices may be less than brilliant, she wins in the end, pun intended. Minerva is a wonderful character who makes me think that Amelia Bedelia has been reincarnated as a chicken.
