This book is okay. I think it means to teach children that worrying too much about the future is bad, which is true, but not caring at all about the future is bad also, which is true, but I think it sort of leans toward the "carefree" attitude of Thumbkin, who lazes away all day until his rotting-pumpkin of a house finally collapses and then has to go live with Mr. Murry. I just wouldn't want to communicate to a child that hard work and responsibility aren't good and are in the same category as worrying too much.
