Because begging doesn't come naturally to her aunt Rosa, V.I. suspects that the old battle-ax must be in big trouble if she's asking for help. And V. I. is right. Good. VI is asked by her hostile, estranged aunt to look into some counterfeit securities discovered in a church safe: shortly thereafter the aunt fires her from the case. Well written, good characterization, interesting plot as VI investigates Catholic clergy shenanigans.

For years you have insisted I was Catherine's evil genius, her Rasputin, so it is no surprise to me that you blame me now.
