The Winds of Autumn is book #2 in the Seasons of the Heart series by Janette Oke. What makes this series different from the rest is that it is told through the eyes of a young boy, not a girl, like typical fashion for Janette Oke's stories. In this book you will read a continuation of Josh's struggles with getting his life together with God. The many questions he seeks answers for and explanations as to why things are the way they are. His family and friends all have in some way helped him grow in his spirituality. Some parts made me smile and towards the end I found myself in tears. This story is very relatable to a person's feelings and struggles for the truth. I highly recommend this book!

I've been re-reading Janette Oke's books this summer, and I'm enjoying this series. She does a good job of developing Josh's voice as he grows, and she touches on interesting family and community dynamics.
