Love, love, love Madeleine Brent. I have read all of her books multiple times. They do all have a similar format of a heroine raised in an unusual environment. Then she ends up back in England, but she ends up involved in a mystery. She uses her unusual upbringing to survive and solve the mystery.

In this book the heroine is an English girl raised by aborigines. She finds a rancher dying in the outback and helps him. He takes her back to his ranch where she lives with him and his wife. Much romance and mystery soon ensues.
