I love this book so much, one story that really freaks me out is the hook it gives me chills.

I read this book when I was about 7, and I swear I didn't sleep normally until I was 15 or so.

Every so often if I'm alone in the house, out at night, etc., I'll remember stories from this book and get nervous.

Seriously, though. These are some of the best scary stories EVER.

Scary stories is a wonderful collection of tales to spook your friends. Some stories are what we use today like "the hook." Some of them you might not have heard of like "white wolf or" cold as clay." The stories in the book are very creative and interesting.Just like the illustrations. I could never think of stories like these. I should say that if you haven't read this book, you should.
