In this #1 New York Times bestseller, Vincent Bugliosi, the famed prosecutor of Charles Manson and best-selling author of Helter Skelter, goes to the heart of the trial that divided the country and made a mockery of justice. He lays out the mountains of evidence; rebuts the defense; offers a thrilling summation; condemns the monumental blunders of the judge, the "Dream Team," and the media; and exposes, for the first time anywhere, the shocking incompetence of the prosecution.

Well documented critique of how the Simpson "Dream Team" obfuscated the issues to confuse and even trick the jury, how Marcia Clark and Chris Darden completely bungled the proseuction - and how he, Vincent Bugliosi, would have handled both the presentation of the evidence as well as the closing argument (which is a lot shorter and much more concise than the multi-day marathon we were forced to endure). This book, written 20 years ago, is relevant again now that OJ Simpson is due for parole on the armed robbery charge in Las Vegas.

There are certain books, few in number, that are absolute mike drops on their chosen subject, and Outrage is one. The late prosecutor and TV news consultant on this case, Vincent Bugliosi, dissects the reasons why O.J. Simpson was found not guilty of these particular crimes. Then, putting his money where his mouth is, he details how he would have handled the case, even with the many disadvantages under which the prosecution team laboured. The only reason why I did not give this book five stars is that it is not updated to 2016, a year in which Simpson trial revisionists and even "truthers" have been very busy.
