A delightful swashbuckling tale - with a plucky girl at the helm. I devoured this series - it's a perfect summer break series!

This is my favorite young adult series of all time. The protagonist, Jacky, is just so funny and the adventures are never dull. Up until as late as three in the morning I sat just to finish it. Work next day rather owl eyed, but oh, the…

An exciting adventure tale that will be of interest to both girls and boys. The audiobook narration by Katherine Kellgren adds so much to the enjoyment of the story. One proviso for young listeners: there is one scene in the book where a…

The 12 and UP is highly recomended. This is not a story for the faint of heart. Although not as grizzly as an adult novel would be, it is still graphic in its descriptions of death and "salty seamens ways".

I was NOT very fond of this book in the least! It started great, I liked it but then at about the middle of the book it got all weird and nasty. Not a kids or YA read I would recommend to parents for their children!
